FOSS is constructing a new DGNB-certified headquarters in Vinge near Frederikssund. An ambitious project where high standards for quality, documentation, and long-term solutions have been defined from the outset.
In DGNB-certified buildings, specific requirements apply to structure, processes, and documentation – including fiber and network installations, which must operate reliably and securely for many years to come.
Here, IT infrastructure is not merely a technical installation, but a central part of the building’s overall quality and daily operations. The solutions must be well-documented, robust, and flexible to support both everyday operations and future needs.
Quality and collaboration across the project
In connection with the construction project, 5E Byg A/S has been responsible for the overall contract. El Team Fyn won the tender for all electrical installations in the building and, in that context, engaged FiberLAN
as a subcontractor with responsibility for the entire IT infrastructure.
FiberLAN was selected as a specialist in IT infrastructure, including fiber, data networks, and TVO cabling – not because FiberLAN was the lowest-cost provider, but because the quality standards, documentation level, and ISO-certified work processes meet the strict requirements of a complex DGNB-certified construction project.
It has been essential that the installations were carried out consistently, systematically, and with full traceability.
Fiber and network solution built for long-term operations
In collaboration with El Team Fyn, FiberLAN has installed the fiber and network solution for the entire building, including PDS, fiber installations, TVO, and access control. All installations have been carried out according to certified processes and delivered with a 25-year system warranty.
This provides FOSS with a well-documented and operationally reliable solution that is easy to hand over, expand, and maintain – also after construction has been completed. The solution has been designed with a focus on stable uptime and future flexibility, allowing the infrastructure to adapt to new requirements without unnecessary interventions.

Structure and responsibility throughout the project
The project has spanned nearly one year and serves as a strong example of FiberLAN’s approach to larger projects in complex construction environments. Through thorough planning, clear project anchoring, and consistent documentation from start to finish, FiberLAN has contributed to a structured project process with clarity and steady progress.
FiberLAN has had dedicated contact persons assigned to the project throughout the entire process. This has ensured short decision-making paths, high quality in execution, and close collaboration with other contractors and advisors. At the same time, it has made it possible to continuously adjust the fiber and network solutions as the construction project developed.

The strong collaboration is particularly built on:
Installations carried out according to certified processes, with full testing and documentation
Focus on quality, operational reliability, and long service life rather than lowest price
A specialized installer taking responsibility for the entire IT infrastructure
The result is a modern DGNB-certified headquarters with an IT infrastructure that functions as a stable and future-proof platform for FOSS’ business.
For FiberLAN, the project clearly demonstrates the value of acting as a specialized installer in larger construction projects, where quality, documentation, and advisory services tailored to the project’s needs are essential.
